Charlie Chaplin (full name – Charles Spencer Chaplin Jr.) was born in London on April 16, 1889 in a family of artists of the London music hall. Charlie lived behind the scenes, rarely attended school and was virtually illiterate. Sometimes he worked: as a seller of Newspapers, an assistant doctor, in the printing house, but never for a long time did not stay.
During his career, Charlie Chaplin became the owner of the film award "Oscar" three times — in 1929, 1972 and 1973.
