Scientists have found that in some parts of Dry valleys precipitation did not fall for two million years.
American and Argentine scientists have found a new genus of herbivorous dinosaurs in Antarctica that lived about 190 million years ago. Such animals lived in the Jurassic period in the Americas, China and South Africa - at a time when there was a connection between the continents, and the climate was warm. The dinosaur found was the largest animal on earth - it was up to 7.5 meters long, weighed up to six tons and had a long neck.
