Blogging or Vlogging?

Blogging is an act of writing content and sharing on social media while Vlogging is an act of making video content and sharing to get paid.
I made a comment on a post with some questions relating to me and I would like to share them here.

Blogging or Vlogging?

Blogging. I love writing because it makes me express myself more while writing them down than speaking. One thing about me is I am always shy. I still do not know how I could summon courage to start singing for the Hive Open Mic community on Hive every week. I think I was able to overcome it, but to make it more like talking through video, No! I won't express myself more.

I kind of stutter when I talk when making video. So, I love to write and express myself to the last.
When I write, it is easier to say and pour everything down and that cannot happen through video making.

Which is easier for you to create?

I will say Vlogging is easier, except for the editing part of it. Videos are easier to complete than writing but it doesn't make me not love blogging through writing. So, for me, blogging is much easier for me than vlogging.

Which comes more natural?

It's blogging for sure. I have been writing for a long time and I am already used to it. It's kind of a natural thing to me which I can say it's from within. A day do not pass by without jotting something down or typing in my phone. I have bren used to it.

Which brings a better payout?

Well, it depends because I have seen a lot of people get good payout with both. It's all a matter of traffic on your blog and that is it. It is a matter of what works best for you.

Is it difficult to face the camera, How were you able to become a vlogger?

It was difficult at first. I started facing the camera when I was on the defunct Uptrennd platform. There, I was a student of Uptrennd University in which our Dreemsteem on Hive was our Vice chancellor. We were told to make a video talking about Uptrennd University as a way to bring more people.

It was so tough that I was thinking if I should do it or not, but I was encouraged. It went fine then but ever since then, I stopped.

I became so active with the Hive Open Mic early this year, I think and I have been able to overcome my shyness. I could even talk to someone through video chat now and I feel comfortable. Facing the camera isn't difficult for me anymore since I could confidently sing without being shy or scared.

So, I will always choose Blogging over Vlogging to make content.
