Driver dont know how to fix or a mechanic that cant drive?

 Which is which? A driver who dont know how to fix? Or a mechanic that dont know how to drive. I been riding motorcycle for many years and i dont have a single idea on how to fix or even just identify what is the problem. Im getting my bike tuned up, changing brake shoe and having other small issues fix. Everytime the mechanic pulls out a hammer and starts hammering some parts of the bike, my heart starts pumping. Haha Im just probably over reacting. Im aware mechanic needs to hammer volts and screws to loosen it up.
