Addiction to reading books is good or bad?

Only he who has fallen in love with a book once in his life knows the depth of that love.

If there is only one good addiction in this world, it is book addiction. If any of my juniors ask me for advice, I tell them to read books. Because only I know how book addiction has changed me. All the great sages, warriors, kings and nobles in the world have reached the pinnacle of their lives by reading books for guidance. Moreover, they all recommend reading books. All the religions I have come across speak of enlightenment. And one of the ways to gain knowledge is reading books.
