## The Person of the Holy Spirit

The **HOLY SPIRIT** is the Third person in the Godhead. He is a person, not a thing. ***  Photo Credit >For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these are one. **1 John 5:7 (KJV)** **The two most greatest reasons why Jesus had to die was for;** • Taking away our sins by dying and shedding his blood to reconcile us with God >The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, behold the lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world. **John 1:29 (KJV)** • So that those who will believe in Him will have the Holy Spirit >Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. **John 16:7 (KJV)**

The above verses helps us to get the reasons Jesus had to be sent by God to this world. Thanks be to God these reasons have been fulfilled.

Just as Jesus had promised, the Holy Spirit descends on anyone who receives Jesus as his Lord and personal saviour, and the presence of the Holy Spirit in their heart, their inner man (*spirit*) makes them to be filled with God's presence. The Holy Spirit makes His presence Known among us, comforts us in our fear and despair and transforms us into bold Christians.
