After receiving the check, my secretary came to my room and said, 'Do you remember the people who have been waiting for us for six months to pay their dues? Finally last month they sent a check. To be precise, we must assume that we did not make a mistake. Because we did not follow them and returned the extra money on time.

Yes, in the above case, there is a difference between doing the right thing for the right reason and doing the right thing for the wrong reason. Some people are honest because they believe that honesty is the right thing to do. On the other hand, some people are honest because they do not want to be caught lying.
