Normally, Edu (Arsenal football director) is suppose to be sacked instantly by the Arsenal directors as after he completed signing of Jorginho because Jorginho didn't fit Arsenal style. Normally his playing style is kinda like Arsenal own, the Tikitaka but it's Tikitaka with intensity, not just Tikitaka but Jorginho delays ball, hold ball and still give back pass after he waste time on the ball, of which Arsenal players don't play such style. The age doesn't matter if he can play the better way but his accuracy is to play back pass, not forward. Lucas Modric, Tony Kroos, even Granit Xhaka that he meet at Arsenal aren't going anymore and they have good forward and accuracy pass, unlike Jorginho.
Mikel Arteta made it known to Granit Xhaka at the beginning of the season that Xhaka need to adapt with the new style or he leave the club and Xhaka did everything possible to adapt, he didn't only play as a defensive midfielder, he attacks, like Number 10, but how would Jorginho heed to Arteta's correction at his age that he should play forward, intensity, not playing back pass that he's addict to at his age? I don't think it's possible but I think Arsenal have to get at least one midfielder to replace Mohammed Elneny that is injured and out of the season, now Thomas Partey is injured and we never know when he would be back playing, they tried to buy Moises Caisedo but he's too cost at 80 million pounds.
I'll just assume that Arsenal buy Jorginho for experience, not for anything special because he couldn't even save Chelsea from loosing in his time there and I doubt he would adapt or quickly heed to the correction of Mikel Arteta at his age, he have good forward pass than Thomas Partey according to statistics but his back pass is what people see most and that's what people would talk about definitely. Jorginho may excel at Arsenal because the style they play at Italy is different from the one they play at Chelsea, so he may adapt with Mikel Arteta's style.
