Mateo Lahoz did the way he always do on Saturday again, because he do it so much in Laliga, he wasn't noticed but as he do it in World Cup while Argentina played against Netherlands in the final stage, where he gave good 7 yellow cards to both players and those that sit on bench, including the coaching staffs, and at the end, Argentina won with penalty shoot out but it's just that Mateo Lahoz didn't spend red card in that match and that is very good and amazing because if he spend red card that day, it worth it but he didn't, maybe because he don't want to spoil the match.
On Saturday, Mateo Lahoz officiate the match that Barcelona and Espanyol played which ended draw and he gave 6 yellow cards each which makes it 12 and 2 red cards, 1 each and what funny enough is that the match ended 1-1 which mean it's a real serious tight match, it's just that Barcelona is fund of playing and having possession, the possession is 78 to 22, Espanyol only utilised the chance that they had, the Espanyol goalkeeper saved 5 goals and Barcelona goalkeeper didn't really save much shots. That's football, it can't be predictable, not predictive, not many people can predict Espanyol would play draw against Barcelona.
But that match caused problem for Barcelona players because they couldn't rest on the first of January. Normally, players are suppose to rest on the following day that they play match but Xavi Hernandez (coach) didn't let them rest, he called them that they should come for training when they are suppose to rest because Hernandez didn't like the way they played, they couldn't score more goals upon how much they played and they don't want to start the new year with rubbish and people blame the referee that he didn't manage the match well because he didn't know how to manage games.
The Spanish referee Lahoz, let us remember, had a questionable job in the match between Argentina and the Netherlands for the quarterfinals of the Qatar 2022 World Cup, and did not receive any sanction for his performance.
