Text: Matthew 5:13-14
Mat 5:13 "You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men.
Mat 5:14 "You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. King James version
There's a big difference between being aware of something and living a life of what you are aware of, you are a light, and I am a light.
That is who we are. But are we conscious it?
Only a person who is conscious of his/her identity can make an impact/difference. You are conscious of your attitude because of the identity you are aware of.
We are light. We are the salt of the earth.
Salt makes a difference in food. Everywhere we go, we are to make a difference because we are light with an assignment of lighting up the souls of men.
We are the very presence of God permeating every place with the tasty savor of salt and the warmth of light. Our task is to save the people of the world. We are to light up every darkness.
Delivering men out of darkness into light. You are not called to fill up the space. There's a role to play and that role is to make a difference in a world filled with darkness.
Act 10:38 "how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.
Jesus went all around doing good, healing all who were oppressed. The people who made a difference in the bible weren't people with great talent or money. Many of us have an excuse for not extending benevolence to others.
You indeed have your problem but then we have an assignment at hand. Doing good, making a difference, and impact in the lives of others.
The Bible never recorded Jesus had a big company 😁 but then he was conscious of his identity and with the consciousness of it, He made a huge impact. It can be money, it can be time, it can be a connection, it can be guided.
Use whatever you have to bless lives. It can be your prayers. We are to shine light wherever we get to. It can be a smile you put on someone's face.
Many of us believers are faithful in our belief that Jesus is the son of God and our savior. But not all of us Christians make ourselves available to light up others.
Many of us born-again believers are not teachable, because if we are teachable, we would have to be open to new ideas in reaching the world.
We are a representative here on earth. Men should see us and feel like they encounter God. A representative of God must be conscious of His assignment.

I understand that many of us want to be comfortable but still, the assignment upon us must be carried out and it must be prioritized.
One of the reasons why we need to make a difference as a believer is because we are expected to by God. Making a difference is to men, to our world.
Many live their entire life and never make any impact in the life of men. Nobody can tag you for one positive thing you did in their life. As we all are chasing a comfortable life, let's be conscious of kingdom assignment.
Let's be conscious of making a difference and shining as light in every sphere we find ourselves. Never be carried away that you forget your identity.
The day you forget your identity, is the day you will begin to live carelessly. Nothing matters to you. People will not mean anything to you, life is connected to thousands and millions of men.
Your impact on one person life can reach thousands and millions because the person you shine a light on will shine it on others and it will go around etc. You are needed in a time like this
God is counting on your availability to be used.
God is love and the most important lesson He wants us to learn on earth is how to love. It's by loving, that we are most like Him.
I was telling someone yesterday, in this kingdom, God must be prioritized above your emotions/flesh. God must be put before us at all times
There are a whole lot of problems today because we want to use our brain. It's okay to use our brain but then let your brain be submitted to God.
It's getting darker daily and it seems those with light are losing their identity.
Be a watchman and let someone say it's because of you, "they are still holding unto Faith"
The only way we can make Christ known is by being present and active in the world. Let's be prayerful to know the heart of the Father.
It is in the place of prayer and study of His word we are equipped to be relevance. When we do good, it will definitely come back to us.
Generations after you will benefit from it. When we do good, people will bless God for your life. Imagine thousands of people thanking God for sending you here on earth. Imagine God been glorified because of your existence.
May we not live a wasted life in Jesus name. Let's see the story of the good Samaritan.
Luke 10:30 Then Jesus answered and said: "A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, who stripped him of his clothing, wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead.
Luk 10:31 "Now by chance a certain priest came down that road. And when he saw him, he passed by on the other side.
Luk 10:32 "Likewise a Levite, when he arrived at the place, came and looked, and passed by on the other side.
Luk 10:33 "But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was. And when he saw him, he had compassion on him,
Luk 10:34 "and went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine; and he set him on his own animal, brought him to an inn, and took care of him.
Luk 10:35 "On the next day, when he departed, he took out two denarii, gave them to the innkeeper, and said to him, 'Take care of him; and whatever more you spend, when I come again, I will repay you.'
Luk 10:36 "So which of these three do you think was neighbor to him who fell among the thieves?"
We should be compassionate to as many that cross our path daily. A heart like Christ is what everyone of us shld daily crave for.
I pray that God in His infinite mercy will work on us inside out in Jesus name.
