THE FLOOD HAS FINALLY ARRIVED IN THE STATE

THERE'S FLOOD IN THE STATE

The gravity of a thing may not be known until one experience such too.

That's not a quote from any where, but a thought that cames to my mind when writing this thing.

Words could not express what am feeling for the flood victims of this year desalter.

Most video clip on YouTube I do watch at times of massive hurricane, flood and storm rage affecting some area are really not a thing to pray for or experience.

I live in Confluence State a state where two major rivers in the country meet.

That's where the slogan of the state where I reside is drawn from as Confluence State (River Niger and River Benue)

It all started in year 2012. I Believe those current with news can still remember and most especially the flood affected victims.

That year, the flood was much that, it stop the moment of vehicles because the water has left the river side and has flown into the highway.

Victims of the flood who live near river the bank have their belongings taken away by water.

It was so massive that two stores building can only be identify by the roof at the top and the rest of the building buried inside the water.

That same year lots of philanthropist rise to the aid of the people by providing money and other healthcare facilities to help in their predicament.

The then government also rise to their aid by providing home for the affected victim at different government house location.

Rumors have it to say that many who live besides the river banks refuses to relocate there whereas some who did after the flood was over they went back to there previous home.

There was famine that year because farmers crops where all taken away and that brought cost of food items to skyrocket.

After the said 2012 flood, nothing of such was experience expect for last year again 2021.


After major dam were open it brought in much water in the state and the same thing as of 2012 repeated itself and also in other state of the country.

Many were devastated because of the lost they incurred from the flood.

Many also become homeless because there was not available housing help this time around from the incumbent governor.

The price of food items and transportation increase and crime rate too.

Many became jobless due to the fact that they were unable to use their tricycle to transport people from their home to the major town.

That same experience too lead to creating jobs for others who were good in driving Canon which became the major means of transportation and many can not but use it.

Moving from my house to thr place of receiving lecture rise by double the price of it and the route the motorcycle where passing was a long journey.

This year 2022, the flood has finally arrived again.

Many has become homeless now and the price of transportation has increased.

Expecting the next phase the price of food items has farmers will complain of poor harvest or no harvest.

On Sunday on my way to church, on getting to a particular junction I saw the water was close to the highway.

By 5:15pm when return back home, guess what the water level has increased and it take courage for tricycle to pass safely or else have their tricycle breakdown as a result of water entering inside.

The driver pick courage to pass and at a point, I have to rise my leg inside the tricycle because water has penetrated inside already.





Yesterday sag was another experience on it own. On getting to a location call kabawa the road was block. No vehicle could pass the highway again. 

The only way to pass through are to board the Canon to cross to the other side. 



I have phobia for water. Other tricycle have to pass through a bad route in other to get to the town.

I feel for those who are worker, have business in town, Stident who have resume back to school and most especially those who are now affected by the flood.

I believe the federal government and state should see to what can be done to either end or reduced this yearly disasters that makes many homeless.

We continue following this ugly situation till it stop raining and also for the water level to reduce drastically so as everything can return back to normalcy.
