By definition CAREER: An occupation undertaken for a significant period of a person's life and with opportunities for progress. The good news is that having a successful career is something that is largely under your own control.

The key is knowing what you have a passion for and pursuing it. Everyone dream of having a highly successful career that they enjoy and that provides them with the successful life they desire.
Far too many of us, though, end up settling short when it comes to career success, working jobs we don’t enjoy for less money than we’d like to have Know that having a successfully career is far beyond collecting big salary or going out in the morning and coming back late at night!
A successful career is about setting goals and achieving them Okay so what are the tips to a successful career ? We are going to take about 2-3 of them.
1.) **Take initiative**
Today's career requirements are highly developed and require much more than someone who won't take risks. In today's competitive career landscape, employers are looking for individuals who can bring fresh ideas to the table and take initiative, start new projects, pitch new solutions and create new opportunities for the business.

All these are basic points in taking initiative. A lot of people Join organizations. go to work in the morning, follow instructions, close.
Month end, collect salary😊.
No way you will make impact in your career that way! Even the bible encourages us to make impact and cause a change. Remember the parable of the talents.

2.) **Be A Lifelong Learner** Continuous learning is key to progression and success. When you are determined to learn new things, your potential for growth increases.
Create a mindset to try something new on a regular basis in both your personal and professional life. New skills bring you new opportunities. New skills bring you new opportunities.
Try an activity you have always wanted to but have not made time for, or challenge yourself with something that is intimidating or even something you are afraid of.
I remember being so afraid of a professional course in my field. At the mention of the name hearts begin to shake But I like challenging myself and I did gave me a great edge in my career.
Find courses, professional certificates, and micro-credential programs that you can take online to enhance your skillset.
Choose those that will open up opportunities for you in your current career, or use these learning opportunities to gauge what you are most interested in for a career change.
Avoid feeling like you are stuck in your job or career. Being or feeling stuck is almost always a state of mind, a predicament of a person’s own making. You are not stuck, just try something different.
Many times, those changes may be frightening or difficult, but that doesn’t mean they won’t be beneficial.
At all points in your career, you need to adopt a mindset of continuous learning and improvement.
3) **Be your own evaluator** This will be our last point for today. One of the best ways to achieve career success is to keep assessing your performance. **Don't wait for your annual appraisal – do it yourself**.
An ideal way to do this would be to identify quantifiable goals and set a timeline for achieving them. Start with setting short-term goals when you're new to a job. Create a detailed plan to achieve these goals understand the importance of constant self-evaluation and improvement.
