THE DEAD AND THE POWER OF CHRIST PT 2

All these are interwoven, at some point has complementary positions while in few aspects are distinguished .

 I will try be talking on just the RESURRECTION OF CHRIST. As a subject matter in this session

Acts of the Apostles 2:24,32-33
[24]But God released him from the horrors of death and raised him back to life, for death could not keep him in its grip.

[32]“God raised Jesus from the dead, and we are all witnesses of this.

[33]Now he is exalted to the place of highest honor in heaven, at God’s right hand. And the Father, as he had promised, gave him the Holy Spirit to pour out upon us, just as you see and hear today.

The Resurrection of Christ is the finished work of Christ in REDEMPTION of our soul. His birth serves as hope to man kind. His death serves as atonement for our sins

His resurrection serves as the connecting factor or the bridge into the kingdom of God for us all

 According to Act 2:24, if death had hold him back....it means, even though he has paid for our sins, there is no insurance policy that governs that price

It's like a man that bought a luxury car without insurance, he will always be indebted hugely if he has dents or any accident.

Same way the RESURRECTION of Christ was an insurance policy that guarantees the salvation of our soul.

 Col 2:15 It says...having spoiled principalities and powers.

 He made an open show of them. The bible said in Eph 4:9. That he first descended immediately he gave up the ghost on the cross. It was in hades that he went to first not heaven.

The reason is because the one who dwells in heel inside hades, hades is two compartment...it has Hell & paradise

 Luk 16 reveals that (Jesus giving the parable of The rich man and Lazarus). So Christ went to a location called hell in hades and he fought vehemently with the devil and his agents...why??

I thought the fight was 9ver at the cross and he said it's finished ??

The reason is because, the devil took something from men before the creation, and what he took from men is mantle of authority that gives you and I power over all things inclusive of the devil.

But the death of Christ on the cross without his resurrection doesn't capture the possibility of redeeming that authority.

This authority was lost by Adam in Gen 2 when he ate the forbidden fruit ...and the implication of that is that, he became the servant of God because it was the devil that instructed him to eat it.

If you read Romans 6:1-18. It's says. Whoever you yield your members to obey, to him you are servant. Either of sin unto death or of righteousness unto life.

So the obedient of Adam to the devil deprived him of the authority given to him by God in Gen 2:1-4. And by extension, you and I authorities were taken away.

The bible says in Roms 3:23-24 ...For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. And in Romans 5: 12 the bible says.

Through one man sin entered into the world and and so death reigned. So if Christ had not risen but only died on the cross.

Our sins would have been forgiven but 

1) We will still be a puppet in the hands of the devil.

 2) The holyghost wouldn't have come to us bcus it was Jesus that holds the administrative office to administer the holyghost to belivers.

 Act 2:33 That was what peter was clarifying on the day of pentecost

That this "same" Jesus .. The reason he said this SAME JESUS was because there was an attempt to deceive the people that he didn't rose up.

So in other for the spectators to be in synch with the sermon of peter concerning his resurrection, he had to make that point clear that this same Jesus whom ye crucified has the father raised up from the dead.

And he now sits on the right hand of God and then he was able to fulfil his promises of sending the comforter which is the holyghost.

So Jesus right now sits in heaven and he is not in you bodily, it is the holyghost that sits in his(Jesus) place in you bodily

 John 14:16
[16]And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate, who will never leave you.

 John 14:16-17
[16]And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate, who will never leave you.
[17]He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth. The world cannot receive him, because it isn’t looking for him and doesn’t recognize him. But you know him, because he lives with you now and later will be in you.

So Jesus sits in heaven right as we speak and the holyghost, which is otherwise known as the extensive arm of Jesus dwells in us bodily as a token or proof that Christ lives indeed.

So the litmus proof for any believer first and foremost that Jesus had risen and he is alive is the consciousness of the holy spirit in you.

 ROM 8:16  Our spirit bears witness with his(Christ) spirit that we are the sons of God

So the first organic reality of jesus's resurrection in your life isn't that you are or were told that he lives. The organic test of jesus's resurrection first is that YOU HAVE THE HOLY SPIRIT IN YOU & YOU ARE CONSCIOUS OF IT.

If this reality is missing, no matter the celebrations and exchange of gifts we do, it doesn't strike a chord in heaven because they that come to him must believe that he is.

This will take us to the second phase of the teaching I will be talking about...and then I will round off.

 RESURRECTION OF CHRIST AS THE CONSCIOUSNESS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT IN YOU

This is an elaborate subject but I will touch it a bit while the lord will minister the rest to us.

 Romans 8:11
[11]The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, he will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you.

 KJV version says...he will mortify your mortal bodies

Since the holyghost now dwells in us, there is a new government in operation in our lives...this is where your personal work and walk begins with Jesus but unfortunately, this marks the end of many belivers salvation.

It was Derek prince that said...Salvation is a bridge into the kingdom, once you mount the bridge, you have escaped death but if you remain on the bridge and refuse to walk into the kingdom, you will frustrate the grace of God that was lavished on you.

Meaning, it's inside the kingdom that destiny will be unveiled to you and commissioned not on the bridge.

And from your walk on the bridge into the kingdom is a process that requires obedience in various levels and the holyghost is the custodian that will serve as a tour guide for you in that path.

And so, you will need intimacy with the person of the holyghost to begin to unpack the rest of the packages that the resurrection of Christ affords you.

Remember in Eph 4 scripture says....when he ascended, he gave gifts unto men.

But the custodian of those gifts is the holyghost and you and I will need to partner with him for the unpacking of those gifts.

That's the second phase of Christ resurrection as to his influence in our lives...I will stop here.

Father we ask that you grant us grace to walk with you the more. Bring light to every dark areas of our lives.
