Tottenham Hotspur put Norwich to the sword with a sublime performance which would make Antonio Conte proud of his team. Lucas Moura's screamer was the highlight of the match after Sanchez and Son got in on the act as well. It was a wonderful performance and the Conte effect is already kicking in for a team that was lacking confidence just a few weeks ago before Conte took over.
The players are enjoying themselves even though the struggles with Harry Kane continues as he has only found the back of the net just once for Tottenham this season and maybe it's a sign that Tottenham can afford to let him go while they seek suitable replacement over the summer since they are getting the job done even without his goals.
Norwich would rue their luck so early in the game after Pukki was found inside the box amidst the space but his shot lacked placement and power at the same time which made Hugo Lloris deny him. It would have been a goal to settle Norwich but they didn't get it.
Tottenham punished that miss as Lucas Moura scored what would be a contender for the goal of the week and the season goal as he linked up well with Son and his individual brilliance showed as he blasted a thunderbolt of a strike into the top left corner of the net in the 10th minute, leaving the goalkeeper helpless.
Not too long after, Ben Davies failed to get to the end of a freekick delivery by Son as the ball went out of play with Tim Krul perfectly beaten with the movement. Tottenham started brightly in the second half and Kane forced Krul to a save and to give away a corner after his strike just outside the box was saved.
Tottenham knew they had to kill the game off and they did in the 67th minute after a corner kick delivery managed to find Sanchez and he wasted no chance in blasting the ball into the back of the net to give Tottenham Hotspur a deserved and healthy 2-0 lead.
The game finally came to an end and any hope for Norwich City was killed in the 77th minute after Ben Davies and Skipp combined so well to set up Son inside the box. Son tried to find that pocket of space and he did before finding the back of the net.
The game ended 3-0 and the Spurs kept marching on...
