Despite having to play two high profile teams within 2 days, Leicester City reshuffled their packs and with a makeshift defensive partnership in Ndidi and Amartey, Leicester City got the job done by winning with a solitary goal against Liverpool with Mo' Salah failing to convert his penalty and Sadio Mane missing a clear cut chance.

Another shocking moment of the game came when Jota beautifully picked out Mane on the edge of the box and he did so well to sort out his feet and drove into the box but he shockingly blasted his effort over the bar when it was certain he should be scoring that.
Ademola Lookman gave the ball to Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall on the sideline and did so well to get the return pass. He strolled into the box and with the little space he was afforded and right in front of Matip and Van Dijk, he fired his shot which found the back of the net to give Leicester City the lead with only 3 shots on target compared to Liverpool's 14 attempts and 6 shots on target.
Jota had a chance to keep his side in the game but he watched his header go wide while Virgil Van Dijk also got denied by the impressive Kasper Schmeichel from the near post after a brilliant effort fell to him but the goalkeeper kept his shot away. Liverpool couldn't find their way back into the game as they lost more ground in the title race.
The effect of playing multiple games in such a short space of time would naturally tell and despite their dominance in the game, they couldn't break a resilient Leicester City side who held strong to claim a vital 3 points. This is the first time in 35 games that Liverpool would fire blank; not score a goal in a match.
