Splinters Warriors, this week's battle mage is almost impossible to win due to the few hour's rush for the higher league before the finale.
The focus of all players in this edition is the "Going the distance" ruleset. The player only has the option to form his selection from the collection of range warriors.
I thought that my composition will survive the match, but other surprises were waiting for me in the arena.
The rewards from the 5th anniversary in Splinterlands were distributed to all the participants. I got packs of monsters to boost my entry into the SoulKeep game. Congratulation to all the team and winners.
I had a bad feeling while submitting my selection in this battle. The rulesets were too bloody for my taste.
My proposition had some merit, but you will see how my opponent took advantage of the board rules to defeat a significantly higher level of cards.

Explosive Weaponry: All Monsters have the Blast ability.

Range warriors had this event to deploy their terrifying wings of arrows over the arena. Shock waves have been felt miles away the entire week.
Kelya Frendul was the summoner of Atpkgl88's team on the board. The cards were of low level of battle but effective in this specific scenario.
Wave Brood was equipped with a "Taunt" ability. This card protected the rest of the teammates in the selection while taking all the damage from the enemy's attacks.
Merdhampir had a life leech ability that helped him survive the damage of the poison in the arena. It played his role as a pawn in the selection.
Gem Meteor was an offensive attack monster with enough speed to evade attacks originated by a slow motion warriors
Axemaster was the most powerful card here. The double strikes have always been a game-changer in the selection of one of the players on the board.
Venari Marksrat's martyr ability triggered at the right moment to boost two serious offensive warriors on the board
Kulu Swimhunter's last offensive warrior on the team added muscles to Aptkgl88 team effort to win this match
General Sloan was a level six summoner that boosted the range attacks of all friendly monsters.
Gargoya Devil is a range's monster that could perform attacks from the first row. This warrior was not as powerful defense-wise but contributed to the team effort.
Xenith Archer was my pawn warrior on the board to serve as a distraction.
Venari Crystalsmith had the potential to heal friendly monsters but could not heal all the monsters affected by the poison each round.
Supply Runner was my special card to speed up things in the arena. His offensive ability helped me in the battle
Pelacor Arbalest had a double strike and boosted statistics from the summoner and Runner, so he gave a lot of damage each round to the opponent's selection of cards.

My selection of cards was ready to face the opponent team but I did not anticipate the poison rapid consequences on my team. I based my plan on the double strikes from Arbalest but it was not enough.
Martyr's ability and the Axemaster boosted statistics were too powerful for my selection.
My strategy did not work. However, I saw the potential of Axemaster and the powerful combination of low-level monster efficacy on the battlefield.
My opponent warriors were specifically combined to perform to the highest level in this game. All the abilities on the opposite side of the board added value to the offensive moves of the range monsters in the arena. Wave played a perfect tank in the selection. Marksrat boosted Axemaster who distributed double strikes under the blast rule of combat to all enemy cards.
It is difficult to find a much better plan of battle when comparing the ATPKGL88 team composition to other selections on the board.
