Dear Splinters,
Peace
How are you doing my friends?
The happy celebration for the 5th-anniversary in Splinterlands continues and DEC is pouring into the fire as the fun increases.
My battle mage secret of the week will target fewer warriors of range attack. The ruleset of the battle is particular and every warrior will certain type of protection against magic or a dangerous range monster on the board.
I have to confess that my opponent's ranking battle was high, but the level of cards on his board was not acceptable for this match.
Fire and regret were not the only rulesets imposed on all players. The opportunity and no heal rulesets were present to spice things up. It was not a joke to counter the majority of the game plan possible coming my way. However, I made sure that any Range type warriors won't cause too much damage to my team's warriors.

Battle Ruleset:
![]()
Fire & Regret: All Monsters have the Return Fire ability.

Equal Opportunity: All Monsters have the Opportunity ability.
--![]()
Healed Out: All healing abilities are removed from Monsters and Summoners.

Mana-cap 50
The water lineup, I selected on the board for this battle had enough magic warriors and some melee fighters. My opponent fought about the reduction of attacking points on my side while most of his monsters' life points were huge. I was lucky that this level of cards did not match the experience of my selection.

Kelya Frendul fought against Quix at a reasonable level of combat. It happened very fast in the arena and the card's survival against multiple attacks from various parts was tested in the arena.

The rule set opportunity adds a serious offensive potential of melee warriors on the battlefield. My opponent took advantage of this disposition and cause heavy damage to my lineup.
I consider this strategy and armor protected most of my cards on the board. The major volume of life point reduction from enemy warrior were magical. However, I was not sure to control the outcome of the fight because my magic attacks were not even close to the sum of melee strikes discharge each round on my team.
My second plan was to slow down as much as possible the enemy causing his defense to weaken. Resurrection from River Hellondale helped in the process. Also, Baakjiro brought his abilities and life point to stop my opponent.

My opponent had selected most melee monsters. I was surprised to see no range warrior on the board. I can affirm that both players knew exactly what was the right set of cards to summon on the board.
The level of strategy on the board was so impressive I was in a bad position during the second and third rounds.
Adversary warriors are an inspiration for team-building strategies for this specific selection of rulesets. I learned a valuable lesson in this battle. It is a strategic move to play double strikes and thorns-equipped warriors on the board.
My opposition did very well during this match. I gained positive information at the end of this battle to improve my game.

My opponent has the opportunity to play Kelya and one poison equip monster in the selection to cause even more damage. A powerful armor repair warrior such as MEERDALI has the potential to tip the balance of power on my side.
