Chelsea new manager Graham Potter has praised Edouard Mendy in a pre-match press conference ahead of their match against Aston Villa tomorrow.
Mendy despite being in Chelsea's first team squad is yet to start in between sticks since the new manager joined the club.
The 30-years-old was injured in Thomas Tuchel's last match in charge as a Chelsea manager at home to West Ham which ended 2-1 in favour of Chelsea.
This gave Kepa Arrizabalaga the opportunity to play in between the sticks in recent Chelsea games with new manager Graham Potter in charge.
Potter rained praises on Kepa recently commending how professional the shot stopper have been in even when he didn't feature in matches.
Meanwhile, Potter has this to say about Edouard Mendy when asked about the Senegalese position in the team during Chelsea vs Aston Villa pre-match conference "He’s been great, attitude fantastic, supporting the team. He was injured when I arrived, Kepa has played well. Situation now, we have competition. You need that to push each other along.”
Potter also ensured Chelsea fans that players that have not featured in Chelsea's adventure will surely get their chance.
