Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Prak Sokhonn met yesterday with Michael George DeSombre, the United States assistant secretary of state for East Asian and Pacific affairs.
During the meeting, both sides recalled the fruitful outcomes of the assistant secretary’s official visit to Phnom Penh in January.
Sokhonn reiterated Cambodia’s deep appreciation for the proactive diplomatic role played by the United States under the administration of Donald Trump in mediating the Cambodia-Thailand border conflict and supporting the implementation of the Kuala Lumpur Peace Accords.
