A description of how the call to prayer began.

Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh. Hope everybody is well. I want to share with you today how the azan started. But let's get started.


 Narrated from 'Abdullah Ibn' Umar (R)
 He said that after coming to Madinah, Muslims used to gather and pray at certain times. For this no one would call to prayer. One day they discussed the matter among themselves.

 One of them said, "Use a nakus (hour) similar to the nakus of the Nazarenes." Another of them said that the Jews used a trumpet similar to a trumpet.


  ‘Umar (R) said,“ Why don’t you send a man to call for prayer? The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: O Bilal! Get up and call for prayer. So friends talked a lot. Everyone will be fine and healthy. And if the writing is good, let me know in the comments. God Hafez.
