Real Madrid defeated Barcelona 4-0 in the Camp Nou match on Wednesday (April 5) night. Karim Benzema is the hero of Real's victory with a great hat trick.
Carlo Ancelotti's team reached the Copa del Rey final with this victory. Los Blancos lost 1-0 at home in the first leg. The Spanish champions took that revenge well this time.
Barça showed dominance at home. In the first 45 minutes, starting from possession of the ball, the Camp Nou team showed a lot of power in the attack. They could have advanced if Thibaut Courtois had not saved some great goals. But in the dramatic screenplay, the next story is written differently.
Barca kept Real under pressure by pressing from the beginning of the match. Real had to get a lot of speed to adapt to their fast football. Barcelona shook Real's defense in 10 minutes of the match. But at the last minute, David Alaba's action saved Real. In the 4th minute, Rafinha's head was directly deposited in the hands of Real goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois.

By doubling the gap in the fifth minute of the second half, Real took a 2-1 lead over the two legs. Luka Modric passes the ball to the box from the right side. Benzema hit the target with a strong shot.
Courtois made another great save two minutes later. Balder's strong shot from inside the box was blocked by the Belgian goalkeeper. However, without giving Barca any chance to return to the match, Benzema made the scoreline 3-0 with a successful spot kick in the 58th minute. The referee gave a penalty when KC fouled Vinicius in the box.
Benzema put an end to all uncertainty by completing a hat trick in the 80th minute. The forward dodged Marc-Andre ter Stegen after catching Vinicius' pass. And the visiting team left the field with a big win.
