All cricket fans are eagerly awaiting the day. Let us today take a look at three teams that are some of the best in the world, are capable of, but have never won the ICC World Cup. They have either failed in the playoffs or in the finals. So let us take a closer look at these three teams. It is the country in which cricket was born and was developed. It is also the country that propagated the game around the world and made it famous enough for it to be ranked among the most followed sport in the world. Unfortunately, England has not managed to win the ICC World Cup yet. They have been in the finals for three world cups in 1979, 1987 and in 1992. But they failed to take the one final step which would have enabled to lift the trophy and ended up being the runners up the three times. However, I rate their chances of winning the ICC World Cup the highest this year because they are playing some excellent cricket over the past two years. Moreover, they will have the home advantage too. This year too, the New Zealand team has put up some good performances over the last twelve month period and they do have a reasonable chance of winning the trophy. But looking at their performance in the current ODI series against India at home, they will have to pull up their socks and perform better.
