#### The Bihu: The Bihu is a national festival of Assam. There are three Bihus in a year. Rongali Bihu: The Rongali Bihu stars from the last of the Assamese month Chot and continues for seven days. It is called Bohag Bihu also. The boys and girls dance in Bihutoly. Kati Bihu: The Kati Bihu is celebrated on the last day of the month of Ahin. Fields are full of grains. Earthen lamps are lighted in front of the Tulsi plant. Lights are given in the fields also. Magh Bihu: The Magh Bihu starts on the first day of the month of Magha. It is called Bhogali Bihu also. People enjoy delicious dishes, cakes, and sweets. People are invited to almost all families. 'Mezis' made of bamboo and straw are burnt for amusement. #### The Assamese love the Bihus. During the Bihus, they forget envy, jealousy, fear or pride. All are glad and happy with love.
