But once in office, priorities do fade,
The voices of the people, they're often ignored,
As politicians heartlessly climb towards more.
Yet, hope still remains, for a better way,
To clean up the system, and start a new day,
For politics can uplift, it can inspire,
When leaders are driven by a true desire.
To serve the people, to bring about change,
To stand for justice, to make a fair exchange,
To put aside selfish gains, personal needs,
And remember that power is born from deeds.
So let us unite, rise above the fray,
Demand accountability, each and every day,
For politics impacts us, all walks of life,
It shapes our future, with both joy and strife.
