In the case of economics, Islam has placed the primary importance on the preservation of human freedom and has imposed on it only those restrictions which are essential for the welfare of the human race. Islam places great emphasis on human freedom. This is because according to the rules of Islam, every person has to be accountable to Allah on an individual level.
There is no concept of collective accountability. Rather, every person has no idea of personal accountability for his or her actions. Rather, each person is personally responsible for his own actions and must personally answer for his own actions. For this accountability, man has to have maximum opportunity to develop his personality according to his own inclinations, qualifications and personal choices.
That is why Islam attaches importance to the moral and political freedom of the individual as well as his economic freedom. Where the economic freedom of the individual is taken away, his moral and political freedom is also lost. It can be understood by thinking a little.
A person who is dependent on another person, organization or government for his / her economic affairs, even if he / she has an independent thought of his / her own, he / she does not have the freedom to implement it. For this reason, the principle that Islam gives us in the economic field, in terms of making money, the individual is given maximum freedom and only in the interest of proper human welfare as much as necessary.
That amount of prohibition is imposed on him. That is why Islam is in favor of establishing a government based on the free will of the people in the political arena. The people can change this government as they wish. The management of the government will be conducted according to the will of the people or the advice of their trusted representatives. The people will have full freedom to criticize this system or to express their views in this regard. The government will not have unlimited power in any case.
Rather, he will continue to work within the limits of power that the higher laws and provisions of the Qur'an and Sunnah have indicated for him. In addition, in Islam, the people have been permanently assigned basic human rights by Allah. No one has the right to kidnap them. These measures have been taken for the purpose of preserving individual freedom and preventing any kind of torture and dictatorial system from oppressing the development of personality.
