The Bachelor in Medicine & Bachelor in Surgery (MBBS) course is the only course in the country where Medicine and Surgery Honors are offered in two subjects simultaneously.

 

The MBBS course is a 5 year course. Then there is one (1) year internship. However, while doing the internship, the doctors get a certain allowance as per the government rules.

 

Which is taught

 

The 5-year course covers Anatomy, Physiology and Biochemistry, Pathology, Microbiology, Forensic Medicine, Community Medicine, Pharmacology, Medicine, Surgery and Gynecology.

 

There is nothing new to say about the demand for doctors in the society. From time immemorial, doctors have survived as one of the driving forces of society's infrastructure. Doctors are respected everywhere in the society and perhaps doctors are the best in terms of professional status. That is why doctors are called.

 

In this profession, on the one hand, there is an opportunity to earn enough money in a halal way. On the other hand, a doctor can survive in this society with respect even with only MBBS degree.

 

Higher degrees in the clinical sector such as MD / MS (Masters course in Medicine) or FCPS (MRCP offered by Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons) Masters or PhDs are offered in a variety of subjects such as Health Economics, Public Health, Microbiology, Anthropology, Biotechnology, Genetic Engineering, Immunology, Biochemistry, etc.

 

At present there are 14 government medical colleges in our country. MBBS courses are offered in all of them. Besides, there are many medical colleges at private level. The number of seats at the government level is 2070. According to the preferences and merit of the students, it is decided who will get a chance in any medical.
