Shaheen Afridi "resting" following a strange Twitter message in Pakistan vs. Afghanistan.

Shaheen Afridi has uploaded a picture of himself with Muhammad Rizwan and Babar Azam.

Shaheen Afridi tweeted a cryptic message expressing support for Babar Azam and Muhammad Rizwan, and while cricket fans wait for the release of Pakistan's T20I team, Shadab Khan has apparently been named captain.

According to sources, the ace all-rounder would captain the team for the three-match series without Afridi and the starting pair of Babar and Rizwan.

The pacer was first given consideration for the leadership, but the social media post changed everything.

Shaheen may have hinted that he, too, will miss the Afghanistan series in a tweet that included an emoji of Pakistan's flag and a photo of himself with his colleagues Babar and Rizwan. The squad for that series will be revealed today.

Following the conclusion of the eighth Pakistan Super League (PSL) season, the series between Pakistan and Afghanistan is scheduled to take place in the United Arab Emirates from March 24 to 27.

According to rumours, Muhammad Nawaz will be replaced in the team by all-rounder Imad Wasim, and there is a good chance that Ihsanullah, Faheem Ashraf, Shan Masood, and Saim Ayub will also be included.
