Zelensky says counteroffensive Actions under way against Russia

 

The president of Ukraine claims that his generals are 'optimistic' over the 'counteroffensive, defensive efforts' being taken against Russian forces that are invading.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the president of Ukraine, has stated that counteroffensive measures are being taken against Russian soldiers that are invading his nation, but he has failed to provide any information.

At a press appearance in Kyiv on Saturday, the Ukrainian president made the remark while flanked by Justin Trudeau, the visiting prime minister of Canada.

In response to a query on Vladimir Putin's claim that Ukraine's counteroffensive had begun and that Ukrainian forces were suffering "significant losses" the previous day, he made the following comment.

According to Zelenskyy, Ukraine is now engaged in defensive and counteroffensive operations. I won't discuss what level or phase they are in.

He continued by mentioning the names of five of Ukraine's senior military officials and said, "I am in touch with our commanders of different orientations every day.

"Everyone is happy. Send this to Putin, please.

Although some Western observers have said that fiercer combat and the reported employment of reserve soldiers imply it, senior Ukrainian officials have refrained from declaring a full-fledged counteroffensive was underway.

Zelenskyy offered scant specifics in his nightly video speech but urged soldiers to continue fighting.

"Thank you to all those who hold their positions and those who advance," he added, referring to the eastern and southern fronts, where combat is most intense.

Hanna Maliar, the deputy defence minister, stated on Telegram that the military would not make any announcements until the locations of the battlefield were known.
