The app will soon be accessible on Android-based smartphones and won't cost you anything more on top of your Apple Music subscription.
Los Angeles: Apple said on Thursday that it will begin streaming classical music on March 28 through a standalone app in an effort to set itself apart from competitors Spotify other niche streaming services.
Apple Music Classical, according to the iPhone juggernaut, would provide "the world's largest classical music archive," with exclusive albums and cutting-edge search features not seen in competing apps.
The app, which has five million tracks, will face up against rivals that are only focused on classical music, such as Idagio, which is presently the only subscription-based platform for classical audio streaming and is situated in Germany.
Apple Music Classical will provide streaming with premium audio, which is much desired by fans of classical music.
According to the firm, the app will be free with an Apple-Music subscription and will soon be accessible on Android-based Smart-phones.
