Ciao a tutti amici e amiche di Italy e di Steemit.
Buon Primo Maggio a tutti!
Oggi è la giornata dedicata al lavoro. Ai diritti. Alle conquiste.
Mentre pensavo a cosa scrivere e senza addentrarmi in discussioni pesanti, mi è venuta in mente una realtà molto lontana da noi.
Le Akashinga, chiamate anche “The Brave Ones”. (Rif.)
Ne avete mai sentito parlare?
Sono donne africane che fanno un lavoro meraviglioso ma anche rischioso.
Proteggono la fauna selvatica dal bracconaggio.
Sul campo.
Ogni giorno.
Non è un lavoro da ufficio. Non è smart working. Non è sicuro.
È un lavoro che richiede coraggio vero.
Molte di loro arrivano da storie difficili. Violenza, povertà, esclusione.
Eppure oggi sono parte di una delle unità anti-bracconaggio più efficaci, grazie al progetto della International Anti-Poaching Foundation.
Noi oggi parliamo di lavoro in termini di carriera, stipendio, stabilità.
Loro parlano di lavoro come possibilità di rinascita.
E, allo stesso tempo, come responsabilità verso qualcosa di più grande.
Proteggere la natura. Proteggere il futuro.
Forse il senso del lavoro cambia molto a seconda del punto di vista.
E oggi, nel giorno dedicato ai lavoratori, mi sembrava giusto ricordarlo.

Today is the day dedicated to work. To rights. To achievements.
While I was thinking about what to write - and without getting into heavy topics - something far from our reality came to mind.
The Akashinga, also known as “The Brave Ones”. (Ref.)
Have you ever heard of them?
They are African women doing a job that is both incredible and dangerous.
They protect wildlife from poaching.
Out in the field.
Every single day.
It’s not an office job. It’s not remote work. And it’s definitely not safe.
It’s a job that requires real courage.
Many of them come from difficult backgrounds - violence, poverty, exclusion.
And yet today, they are part of one of the most effective anti-poaching units, thanks to the International Anti-Poaching Foundation.
Today, we often talk about work in terms of career, salary, and stability.
They see work as a chance to rebuild their lives.
And at the same time, as a responsibility toward something bigger.
Protecting nature. Protecting the future.
Maybe the meaning of work really depends on perspective.
And today, on a day dedicated to workers, it felt right to remember that.
