The two countries are behind the recognition of Mother Language Day, one is Bangladesh and the other is Pakistan.The role of these two countries is the same as the villain and the hero in the movie .Bangladesh is the hero Pakistan is the villain. At one time Bangladesh, Pakistan and India were a subcontinent consisting of three countries The name of the subcontinent was India.
India became independent in 1947, leaving only two states, Pakistan and Bangladesh. The name of Bangladesh was not Bangladesh then.Pakistan accepted Bangladesh as a territory of their country only because of religious similarities.When the Bengali name is East Pakistan and the name of Pakistan is West Pakistan.Power was vested in West Pakistan.They ruled the state. But it deprived the people of East Pakistan from all sides.Why didn't the people of Bengal say anything against them? But when they wanted to snatch the mother tongue from the people of East Bengal, the people of East Bengal became vocal.
They took to the streets to demand the protection of their mother tongue. Many of them defended their mother tongue with their lives.That day was the 21st of February, 1952.Shafiq, Salam, Barkat, Jabbar and many others died in the movement of that day.To commemorate their self-sacrifice and love for the mother tongue, intellectuals began celebrating Ekushey February as Mother Language Day.Later, when the incident spread to the world court, the UN incident was reviewed again They all declared this day as International Mother Language Day.Who has revealed the tragic story of love for mother tongue from this small country.
