Crayfish is a sea food that belongs to the Crustaceans family and it is of great importance as it is eaten all over the world. It is mostly used in spicing up foods in many Nigerian kitchens and due to it usefulness, it is now in high demand everywhere.

Crayfish is another crypto in the sense that it does not have a fixed price, because most at times it is usually scarce and this makes it a good business to invest in. From my survey so far i have learnt that crayfish as a business has the potentials to turn the seller into a millionaire.

Starting a crayfish business wouldn't cost much, with about ₦20,000 to about ₦30,000 the business has started. Before buying it you will have to survey properly and know it cost at that particular time, if it is high or low. Then if it is high you will have to monitor it to know when the price will go down(that will be when it is in circulation), then you buy in bags and store till it rises, then you sell out.

From my survey a 5kg bag of crayfish is ₦30,000 and a profit of ₦15,000 and more can be made from it, that is if it is not scarce at that point in time, but if it is scare you will make more. Another way of making more profit is buying directly from the source(river banks), which makes it more cheaper for you. 

It lasting period is not a problem, crayfish is not a perishable food if it is cleaned, dried, processed and well stored. It has a long shelf life.The popular places it is gotten are Ogun, Ondo and Akwa Ibom(at Oron and Ibeno) state. 

Selling it is not a problem, because it is sold in all markets, organizations and offices. All you need to do is to supply to people in the market places, to lecturers and students in universities, polytechnics, and many other places.

Another way you can sell your crayfish is by exporting it to different countries, there are people whose job is just to export crayfish, getting their contacts and linking up with them will be very good.
