Pierwsze grzybki w tym roku
I would consider my first walk in the Lublin forests a success. Although the forest floor crunched loudly underfoot due to the lack of moisture, I managed to find a few edible mushrooms.
Pierwszy spacer po lubelskich lasach mogę uznać za udany. Choć pod nogami ściółka aż strzelała z braku wilgoci, to udało się znaleźć kilka jadalnych grzybów.
Unfortunately, I found only one Boletus edulis (penny bun), but there were plenty of bay boletes and two orange-capped boletes. After sorting, some mushrooms had to be discarded, but the rest were enough to make excellent scrambled eggs.
Niestety borowika szlachetnego znalazłem tylko jednego, ale za to było sporo podgrzybków i dwa koźlarze czerwone. Po selekcji trochę grzybów trafiło na śmietnika, ale reszta wystarczyła na zrobienie doskonałej jajecznicy.
Besides the edible ones, there were also some inedible and poisonous varieties. They ended up on my camera sensor instead, serving as a keepsake.
Poza tymi jadalnymi było też trochę niejadalnych i trujących. Trafiły zatem na matrycę aparatu i stanowią pamiątkę.
A fairly intense rain front passed through last night. It rained heavily for several hours, so there’s a chance something will pop up in the forest soon.
Ostatniej nocy przeszedł dość intensywny front deszczowy. Padało intensywnie przez kilka godzin, więc jest szansa, że coś się wkrótce w lesie pojawi.
The brown roll-rim is probably the only mushroom that is always found in the forest, regardless of weather conditions.
Krowiak podwinięty, to chyba jedyny grzyb, który zawsze jest w lesie bez względu na warunki pogodowe.
Overall, the hydrological situation is very bad. The well in our yard, which always used to have water, is dry this year. There hasn't been a situation like this since I started coming here—that is, for over 35 years.
Generalnie sytuacja hydrologiczna jest bardzo zła. Studnia na naszym podwórku, w której zawsze była woda, w tym roku jest pusta. Nie było takiego stanu odkąd tu przyjeżdżam, czyli od ponad 35 lat
