Napływ arktycznego powietrza

There was more sunshine today than yesterday, but a gusty, icy north wind effectively drove down the air temperature.

Dzisiaj pojawiło się więcej słońca niż w dniu wczorajszym, ale porywisty i lodowaty wiatr z północy skutecznie obniżał temeparturę powietrza.

The walk was pleasant only in the forest, among the trees; out in the open, the wind was fierce enough to nearly blow one's head off.

Spacer przyjemny był jedynie w lesie wśrod drzew. Na otwartym terenie dosłownie chciało urwać głowę.

Unfortunately, the mushrooms we had been hoping for failed to appear after the recent heavy rains. Perhaps they will come up in early October, when the forecast warming spell arrives.

Niestety po ostatnich obfitych deszczach nie pojawiły się wyczekiwane przez nas grzyby. Może na początku października, gdy pojawi się zapowiadane ocieplenie.
