LET’S LEARN PROGRAM

I couldn’t sleep one cold night.

I just lay in bed and went over one thousand thoughts again and again. As I lay there, so many opinions flooded and roamed the streets in my mind. One was prominent; how to become a billionaire in a very short time.

So many business ideas came and passed by. I simply envisaged them and stared back into the darkness that surrounded my room. “If I could get some capital, these ideas would be transformed into  realities and the sky would surely be my starting point.” I thought to myself.

I love my ability to be very delusional. I really do.

Prompted by boredom, I picked up my phone and unlocked it to watch some comedy skits on YouTube. I needed some consolation for my grief. I shouldn’t have. I think this was the beginning of my doom.

If you’re familiar with YouTube, there’s no need reminding you it’s advert-filled. This particular one today caught my attention( a betting app praised and emphasized how one could turn $5 into $500,000 in seconds). Oh wow. Perhaps, it was the spirit that directed me to YouTube.

I quit YouTube immediately and went in search of the betting app.

Needless to say,  I spent all my savings and tuition fee and still didn’t earn a dime. I’m talking approximately $2,000.

To say I was dumb is to say the least.

As I’m writing this, so many thoughts are wandering about on my mind. Things that if I put out here, I’d be causing a mass hysteria.

I started betting cos’ I wanted to become a multi billionaire in a couple of years. I thought betting was the answer to my dreams and aspirations. I sat down today to calculate all I’ve used in betting so far and I discovered I’d have been a multi millionaire if I simply put all the monies I used in betting into a saving box.

A wise man once said “. the end of one phase is only the start of the next.” This is my only solace. I pray the lessons I’ve learnt from this experience help me do make better decisions in the future.
