TREAT PEOPLE WELL
(a poem)
There lived a man named Amos
He was very rich and famous
His house had a very high wall
And he never gave anyone a dime as far as I can recall
He had servants at his beck and call
One of them was named Paul
He would insult and call them names
Some people say he did this and called them games
This man had all he wanted
But he was not kind hearted
He woke up one day and became poor
And now there’s no more grandeur
All his servants left him
He went from being fat to slim
These days he sings hymns and wishes
He would have done better when he was in riches
If you’re rich, treat people well
Even if they look dirty and smell
Because one day things might change
And everyone around would look very strange
