Now that the Sri Lankan cricket team is touring India, India have won the first Test of the tour with an all-round performance by Rabindra Jadeja. India are 1-0 up in the series after winning the first Test.
The second Test between Sri Lanka and India started yesterday. Today is the second day of the second Test. India finished their two innings in this two-day match. Sri Lanka are batting in the second innings after finishing the first innings. Sri Lanka finished the second day with 28 for 1 in the second innings. Sri Lanka still need 419 runs, 9 wickets in hand and three days to win.
India were all out for 252 in the first innings, with Shuris Lair scoring 92 off 98 balls, Ishan Punt 39 off 26 balls, Virat Kohli 23 off 48 balls, Hanuma Bihari 31 off 81 balls and Rohit Sharma 15 off 25 balls. Ravichandran Ashwin 33 off 13 balls, ah, no one could meet the double digit quota.
Among the Sri Lankan bowlers, Lakmal took 1 wicket, Imbuldenia 3 wickets, Jayakarima 3 wickets and Dananjaya de Silva 2 wickets.
Sri Lanka went down to bat in the first innings and lost all their wickets to score 109 runs. Angela Mathews top-scored for the Sri Lankan batsmen with 43 runs, Dikulla made 21 off 38 balls, Dananjaya de Silva made 10 off 24 balls, and no one could meet the double-digit quota.
India went down to bat in the second innings and declared the innings at 303 for 9. Mayers Agrawal (22), Rohit Sharma (46), Hanuma Bihari (35), Virat Kohli (13), Ishan Punt (50), Ravindra Jadeja (22), Ashwin (13) and Axel Patel (22) 9 runs and Mohammad Sami 16 runs.
Among the Sri Lankan bowlers, Jayakukrama took 4 wickets, Imbuldenia 3 wickets, Vishwa Fernandez 1 wicket and Dananjaya de Silva 1 wicket.
Sri Lanka still need 419 runs to win. Sri Lanka lost a wicket in the second innings. Lahiruthirimanne was dismissed for 0, Dimuth Karunaratne for 10 and Kushal Mendis for 16 not out. Jaspit Bhomra got only one wicket for India.
