On 10th October, 2016, I had the opportunity to travel to Lassie Tuolu Senior High school in the Upper West region of Ghana, where I completed my second cycle education to collect my admission letter. Been so excited to enter my school campus for the first time, I could not hold unto my joy like a lion 🦁 in front of a goat. Singing and worshipping was all over the car. You can imagine what was happening in the car
Similarly, a man named Hazel Opong from Northwest district in the savannah region of Ghana was equally traveling with me in the same car and had the same mission as mine. He was also excited as he was 16 years old to be in the high school.
We arrived at the school entrance 6:45pm after six hours drived and was warmly welcomed by Mr Emmanuel, the security man. "You have arrived late young men. wait for tomorrow", said the security man. It was a bad moment for both of us but we obeyed his instructions peacefully.
Early morning on the following day, 11th September,2016, we went to the administration block and everything was successfully. We could not exchange contacts since none of us was using a phone as at that time.
On 22nd October, 2016, we met coincidentally at the lorry station to report to school. It was very marvelous to report together to persue the same course. He was my study mate and a lovely friend to me at the high school. We completed together in 2019 and he had the opportunity to join Ghana immigration service and I also went to the university. What a great achievement!!
Finally, we met today again after three years of separation. No one could control us with the noise, shouting our usual nicknames and recalling our past experiences.
It was a joyful Sunday to meet my beloved friend like a brother. In fact happiness has no place to exercise it. Glory be to God for this transformation in our lives.
