Nano fertilizers have become very popular in crop production in Bangladesh.

Nano fertilizers or fertilizers applied to the crop field will accumulate at the base of the plant and will be able to provide nutrients to the plant as required. Just as there will be no wastage, the plant will be able to receive the right amount of food at the right time. Due to its small size, these particles can enter the seed through the tiny pores of the seed and provide the necessary food. As a result, production will increase significantly.
Fertilizer is an important ingredient in crop production. In the past, farmers used to collect all household waste in one place for decomposition and use as fertilizer. All the dung or poultry manure that came from the barn was decomposed and given to the land, which would give a good harvest. After the 60's, when urea, nitrogen, phosphorus and potash came into the market, crop production started to increase with the introduction of fertilizers. In the early 80's, after the independence of the country under the leadership of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, he called for a green revolution with the slogan "If the peasant survives, the country will survive". This compassionate peasant man rehabilitated 22 lakh peasant families after the independence of the country. He provided improved seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, etc. for free or at nominal cost. He encouraged the educated youth to engage in intensive agricultural work in a modern way so that not even an inch of the fertile soil of our country would remain uncultivated. Inspired by the guidance of the Father of the Nation, the entire peasant society of this country jumped into the new struggle to increase production. Due to intensive cultivation of conventional methods, the soil loses its fertility. Chemical fertilizers have become more important in order to maintain soil fertility and produce more than usual. Farmers increased their use of chemical fertilizers (NPK), nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium in the soil as macro nutrients. But to increase and protect the fertility of the soil, only 30 to 34 percent of the fertilizer used by the farmers on the land is used for crops. And 60 to 70 percent of the waste is mixed with the water around the field or other water harms the environment.
Another concern is that the prevailing view of farmers is that more fertilizers give higher yields. As a result, they use extra fertilizer as needed. But after applying the fertilizer in the field, about 80 percent of the fertilizer is blown away in the form of gas or leaching under the soil and mixing with the soil and water and polluting the environment. On the one hand, the fertility of the soil is being lost, on the other hand, ammonia is flying in the sky and warming is taking place. Due to this the temperature of air is increasing. Scientists have found a way to overcome this problem. Researchers have invented a new technology called 'Nano Fertilizer' or Nano Fertilizer to avoid global warming. It is measured with nanometers. 1 nanometer equals ten to the power minus 9 meters or 1 billion off a meter. When an object is broken down and taken to a much smaller level, its efficiency is greatly increased, much like atomic energy. The size of the nanoparticles is slightly larger than the molecules.
Experts hope that the 'nano fertilizer' invented with the help of the world's latest nanotechnology will bring a breakthrough in increasing the production of crops and reducing the cost of production as well as maintaining the balance of the environment. Scientists at the Bangladesh Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (BCSIR) are working on their own initiative to move the nano-fertilizer into commercial production. Nanotechnology is the world's most advanced micro-technology that can easily provide the food needed for crop roots. The use of fertilizers will help in increasing the production of crops as well as reducing the cost of production and maintaining the balance of the environment.
Nano Fertilizer Type: It is a fertilizer where many of the nutrients required by the crop are mixed in small quantities, mixed together and polymerized. As a result durability increases. Crop trees are able to take it quickly. It can be kept up to eight months. The benefit is that once the fertilizer is used to grow two crops. Because in our country there are about two or three crops in a year. Now the crop has to be fertilized more than once, which is polluting the soil and water at a proportional rate. Again ammonia flies in the sky, polluting the atmosphere. But the farmer has to buy these. Production costs are rising.
The second is the diversity in terms of applications. Farmers in our country buy nitrogen phosphate and take it in sacks. He took three sacks, took them and put a sack on the side of the field. Poured on top of him, then began to mix with his hands. Now a phosphate grain is much larger than a urea grain. Again a urea grain is much smaller than a phosphate grain. And the grain of potassium is crystal. The three were mixed. What happened at the time of scattering, the big grain would come in handy first, then the area where the big grain fell, there was more phosphate. Then there was more urea on the other side. The next side had more potassium. In the same field, that is, if a farmer's field is twentieth century, if one-third of it contains more phosphate, then one-third more urea and one-third more potassium, the yield will vary.
Nano Fertilizer is but a new technology. It has to be communicated to the farmer. What is being done lately is that Bangladesh has fertilizer laws, policies and a set of standards. Nano Fertilizer is the current solution. Private company ACI Limited has already started a trial trial of Nano Fertilizer.
For example, the trees in the tea garden are different. If 50 gms of granule (nano fertilizer) is given at the base of the tree, it has the life cycle of tea i.e. the production period is seven to eight months, this whole time tea can be produced. When fertilizer is spread in the tea garden, when it rains, it rolls in the water and goes down. A lot of the time there is no leaching, it does not mix with the soil. In that case the fertilizer is not reaching the base of the tree properly. This nano fertilizer will not cost much in the tea garden. In this way, the cost of spraying manure on one acre of land in one day will be much less, it will not require extra labor, nor will it require extra manure.
Another issue is organic fertilizer. Our lands are constantly becoming compact due to cultivation. Below the soil but need oxygen and the soil needs to be hollow. In this case, if we give organic fertilizer here, but the land will be fertile. In our country, however, there is a lot of waste, such as kusara husk, jute sticks, household waste, dung, chicken dung are all mixed but there is a lot of waste. If we can treat these wastes together with microbials in the right way, then what will happen if all these fertilizers like this will hollow out the soil on one side. On the other hand, water retention will increase. Increase water holding capacity. At the same time it will increase the capacity of the roots and provide all the elements that the plant needs. After applying other fertilizers, these fertilizers can take the plants. The crop yield will increase a lot.
