Five years later that Gotsche was directly in Germany's World Cup team

He was the hero of the 2014 World Cup final, his goal against Argentina to win Germany's fourth World Cup. But he 'disappeared' in the next World Cup. He lost his rhythm so much that Mario Gottsche did not have a place in the 2018 World Cup squad. But the 30-year-old German midfielder has found himself again. After five years, he got a call to the national team, and it was in the World Cup in Qatar!

 Not only Gottsche, there are other surprises in Germany's World Cup squad - Yusufa Mukoko and Niklas Fulkrog have been called up. The 17-year-old Mokuku and Fulkrug have never played for the German national team before.

Apart from Germany's World Cup squad, the list of exclusions is also shocking. Leroy Sane is in doubt due to injury but Marco Reus has been left out. Mats Hummels, who has been in great form in Dortmund's defense, has also been dropped unexpectedly.
