The book "The Green Mile" - Stephen King - Is a very powerful and powerful work!

Today, my review will be about the book I loved by Stephen King, which is called "The Green Mile". I remember the first time I saw the film of the same name, based on this work. At that time, I didn't even know it was based on a book. And I perfectly remember the impression of what I saw...

It was so powerful, so emotional and emotional, that for a whole week afterwards the whole court discussed this film. The videotape with this film was amicably passed on to friends and acquaintances, and the emotions were almost the same for everyone. In general, there were tears. I've watched The Green Mile three times, and it's likely that I'll watch it more than once.

But to read it, I never even thought about it. But recently, after I had been so eager to get to know this amazing writer, it seemed impossible not to read The Green Mile.
And this book...

380 pages of an unusual narrative from the name of Paul Edgecombe, the prison warden of the "Green Mile", named after the long corridor with a green surface, along which those who were sentenced to death went on their last journey.

The reading turned out to be no less difficult than the film, with all the smallest details, both in the description of each character, some situations, and in the description of the entire procedure for bringing the sentence to execution. And at that time it was an electric chair.

The volume of pages in this book is actually small, when compared with other, more voluminous works of Stephen King, such as" Confrontation "or"11.22.63". About "It" or "Under the dome", which I already have, but until I got to them, I generally keep silent.

The book of the publisher that I got is printed in a fairly large font and is read, like many of the works of this author, very easily, despite the severity and emotionality of the events described. I read it in two days.

The book is narrated on behalf of the warden of the prison and describes the events of 1932, when they were put on death row by John Coffey, accused of the murder and rape of two twin sisters. There are digressions on the events that preceded it, there are events that describe what happened to all the characters involved in this story many, many years later.

In general, it was very interesting to read, although the first few chapters were difficult for me and I even decided that the film was definitely better. I can't make that choice right now. But I want to note that the film still once again confirmed that there are exceptions to the rules. If it's no better than a book, it's certainly no worse!

I read and just saw the images that I remembered from the film. Everything, down to the smallest detail... just the memory of John Coffey's eyes, constantly filled with tears of pain that he couldn't help someone, fascinated me and surprised me. How accurately the director managed to recreate what King thought and wrote about...

In general, I think there are few people who are not familiar with this film, but the book is clearly not read by everyone. So be sure to read it. This is a very worthwhile thing!

And even more so, read after watching the movie-it's something! I have these two masterpieces superimposed on each other and created a complete picture of what is happening! A quivering, creepy, full of emotions story that is unlikely to leave anyone indifferent! So, of course, I recommend it!
