Golden Autumn Poetry Competition

 

 

I am glad to be making my first-ever contest on the serey blogging platform. It has been a long while since I wrote a poem, but I will be forced to do so. Kindly find my entry poem, and please tell me how you feel about it in the comment box. The title of the poem is THE VIEW.

 

 

THE VIEW

The serene environment under the tree

It made me lost while my heart wandered

The calm and peace that comes with what I see 

Only a smile from a  kid could only second it

 

As each second count down

So has clarity is bestowed in my mind 

Actions steps became visible in my head 

As I sit under the golden tree and stare at the water 

 

The quietness of the place made it the right spot 

Reflection, mapping and action points come at ease

A testament that some space helps overcome problems 

As it sparkles the mind and brightens the eyes

 

Ideas run freely through the ears. 

As it feels like a whisper to the soul 

As Autumn approaches to change things

Under the golden tree  with a calming view is all one need
