BAFUFE general secretary Bangladesh Football Federation (BAFUFE) general secretary Abu Naeem Sohag has been banned from all football activities for two years for concealing financial irregularities. A fine of 10,000 Swiss francs has also been imposed.

Football's apex body announced the decision in a press release on Friday. The decision was made by the FIFA Ethics Committee.
FIFA said it found evidence of false information regarding FIFA money given to FIFA. So this decision has been taken by the highest policy making body of football. In the meantime, FIFA has also sent a letter to Abu Naeem informing about the punishment.
Fifa's investigation and hearings found errors after reviewing information provided by Buff about the fund's spending. Last February, along with Sohag, three more officials of the Bangladesh Football Federation were called to the FIFA headquarters. Earlier, FIFA sent a representative to FIFA to investigate the audit reports.
