Messi may have dispelled any doubts by leading Argentina to win the World Cup after 36 years.  Now his name is mentioned in the row of Pele-Maradona.  For many, Messi is the best of all time.

This time in the museum of the South American Football Federation (Conmable), three legends will be together.

A sculpture of Messi holding the World Cup trophy was unveiled at CONMEBOL's headquarters in Ruque, Paraguay on Monday.  The World Cup winning Argentina team was honored before the draw ceremony for the Copa Libertadores.  At this time, by handing over the symbolic football baton to Messi, the Argentine captain was declared the ruler of world football by CONMEBOL president Alejandro Dominguez.

After the unveiling, Messi posed smiling with his sculpture.  The sculpture will be placed next to the sculptures of Pele and Maradona in the museum of Conmable.  Excited to receive such an honor, Messi said, "It is really a great achievement."  I never dreamed of anything like this.  I couldn't even think.  My dream was to just enjoy doing what I love.  His childhood ambition was to become a professional footballer.  Taking love as a profession.  I had to travel a long way to get here.  There were many twists and turns on that path, there were defeats.  But all the time I looked ahead, wanted to win.  I think the most important thing is to chase your dreams.  Enjoying the game, which is the most beautiful.

In this event, coach Lionel Scaloni and all of the Argentina team were presented with small replicas of the World Cup and Finalissima trophies.
