Jurgen Klopp has revealed that Curtis Jones is close to returning after taking part in team training on Thursday.
The Liverpool midfielder suffered an injury last month and has played just one game in the 2022-23 season. Andy Robertson continues to make good progress in his rehab, but the Reds have to miss Arthur Melo for a while.
Klopp said in a press conference on Sunday, offering a squad update ahead of his Arsenal departure: If so, he is probably the closest person.
“They are doing well and having great sessions, but butterflies and bulls are still few and far between. "I have a new injury. This is Arthur Mello. In the last session before Rangers, he injured his hamstring under normal circumstances. We'll have to wait for more testing to see how long it will last, but it's done.
“Robo runs around a lot and looks friendly. Curtis is probably the closest now and Robbo is two steps away."
