Thai Basil Excellent Pleasant Aromatic Herb

With summer just around the corner,
I've been making full use of one of my very favorite fresh herbs: basil.Before those fragrant bouquets of bright green leaves become even more of a market rarity,


I've been tossing them by the handful into almost everything I make: tomato salads dressed with olive oil and salt; bright vegetable stews with both sweet and spicy peppers; And, of course, pesto, pesto and more pesto, which I keep by the quart container in my freezer.
