Hello friends! Today I started watching the second season of the series "Patriot" and realized that I really want to share my impressions of how the police degraded in just a few years on television screens.
I remember watching the TV series Streets of Broken Lanterns during my school years. And who from our generation has not watched it? First the first season, the second, the third, somewhere in the sixth I gave up. However, I can definitely say that it was interesting to watch the adventures of the heroes. Not only did I think and analyze every time who could be the killer, but every time I worried about the life of the main characters.
The love side there, as a rule, did not show much. The main role was a plot, non-trivial, exciting, akin to the novels of Agatha Christie, which I, however, have not read. But the level of intuition, speed and humor was extremely high.
What do today's youth see when they watch TV? Yes, we can say that young people watch it a little, but no, there are those who watch it constantly and with great pleasure. So, the current on-screen cops are just a laughing stock! And they don't know how to fight, and they can't run fast ...
The only exception is "Policeman from Rublyovka". There, of course, there are countless exemplary police officers, but at least there is enough humor. However, those who think hard and run poorly are the majority. The model is Grisha Izmailov, but he has such a sense of humor that is able to bring his boss to a heart attack.
In "Patriot" the policemen also have an overweight figure (Crane) and a poor mindset.
Of course, the Russian political system is far from ideal, but I simply have not seen such a disgrace. Looking at such antiheroes, the majority of young people are unlikely to have any respect for a difficult profession. It’s a pity, a pity to know that the police system has become the object of silly jokes and humiliation.
Still, there should be professions that are better not to be ridiculed. Probably so.
