On strategy and tactics in everyday life

Hi friends! Today I would like to talk a little about life.

Every day we carry out many tasks, from the simplest to the most difficult. Since I am at home most of the time, all examples will be from home life. However, they also concern office life. Sometimes we do regular chores (cooking or doing laundry), sometimes rare. For the sake of simplicity, I will call them strategy and tactics.

Tactics include tidying up the apartment, preparing food, doing laundry and ironing. But the strategy ... It is different for everyone. For example, my strategy includes tidying up the refrigerator and descaling the kettle. These processes are done quite rarely, as problems arise, and certainly not every day.

Take the same electric kettle, for example. In order to remove scale, I boil it with vinegar, then leave it in this state for two to three hours, then rinse it with dishwashing detergent and boil it twice to finally get rid of the vinegar and detergent. This procedure, of course, should not be done all the time!

As for my own development, I will also say that for me there are both tactics and strategy. The tactic is reading books or news daily, writing a blog, working on social networks. The strategy is developing and filling two sites with content that I can't get to yet, writing a book. However, every time I scold myself if I haven't made even a small step forward in fulfilling strategic tasks in a day.

Ordinary activities, as a rule, take up all your free time and take all your energy. It so happens that there is simply no time left for a life strategy. What to do? Seek time and remind yourself every day of your life plans. We did not come to this world to become robots, not to do the same job every day. One not very beautiful day, our life will end, and what will remain? Each of us must leave at least a small but positive legacy in this world. Some may have a book (or many books), some may have a picture.

It is very important to take the time to be of service to society and to leave a spiritual or material legacy. It is important to be able to combine tactics and strategy here.

Let me give you an example of the perfect combination of tactics and strategy: this is writing a book. Strategy is the publication of a book, tactics is its daily writing. By making this process permanent, it will become an integral part of life. We will trick our brains into thinking that this is a tactic, but at the same time we will close our strategic goal.

When it comes to home, I like strategy more: tidying up the closet or throwing away unnecessary things. The effect of these processes is much more noticeable than from routine daily activities. Doing something global, I can tell myself that I am a great fellow and clever! And this is the best motivator!

These are my own thoughts and my view of the world. Perhaps one of the psychologists wrote something similar, but I personally have not met. What do you think about strategy and tactics in life?
