Hello friends! Our author @felicita got me thinking about parenting. Probably, in her post there is also a place for the difference in the views of mothers and grandmothers, but I will express my thoughts on the decree.
A couple of months ago, the doctor asked my daughter if I began to pay less attention to her after the birth of my brother. She looked at me in surprise and said no. On the way, we began to argue with her and came to the conclusion that there was more attention! Despite the fact that I am constantly busy with something, I am constantly at home and can talk to the child, help her with her hands, sometimes take a walk.
Sometimes my daughter even sighed that she had no opportunity to be at home alone ... But I can always warm her food, braid her hair and ask how she's doing.
Yes, I myself understand that I used to spend most of my time at work, but now I devote time to my family and home. I like being on maternity leave, although sometimes the degree of my lack of sleep goes off scale, and the adequacy leaves much to be desired ...
It is not clear only why there is a stable expression "sit on maternity leave." I spend very little time sitting. Rather, I walk, run, get up and sit down again, sometimes I lie down, sometimes I wander.
Once I told my daughter that I would send her brother to kindergarten at 1.3 years old. She was surprised then and asked: "What will you do then?" My answer was clear and laconic: "Sleep!" It seems to be just getting used to one schedule, as it changes again. I need not only to take care of the child and household chores, but also to develop myself: write, compose, and also read, so that inspiration does not run out, and the style of presentation is complemented by beautiful artistic turns. I try to be on time on all fronts.
All good!
