Is it worth sprinkling ashes on your head?

Hi friends! Today I would like to talk to you about self-flagellation. I have one example in my life when a very neat and calm woman constantly reproaches herself for different situations.

If she has oversalted a little or accidentally spilled granulated sugar, then she will definitely say: "Here I am clumsy!" I am very often just offended that she does not love herself at all: she will never praise herself and very rarely pamper herself with anything. I must say that her home is very clean and always tidied up.

At the same time, she is calm and friendly, we love her very much. Why doesn't she love herself? It seems to me that the answer lies in childhood, when her parents were too strict with her and did not tolerate any mistakes.

It is likely that she was rarely praised and she just was not used to good words. I myself try to praise my child as often as possible, especially when there is a reason.

Every time she expects praise from me. In kindergarten, I was told that a child needs to be praised often in order to form the correct self-esteem. I will also say to myself that I rarely scold myself. I know how to admit mistakes, but I don't scold myself in public. We must not forget about our own dignity. Outsiders will very rarely praise you for any merits, and even more so almost never - for what you are.

Yes, I am not ashamed to praise myself, because it is important to love and appreciate yourself. This serves as the basis for success and implementation. At the same time, I do not forget to thank the universe for the gifts of fate. If I liked the manicure or the service in the store, I will definitely write about it on social networks. I love to leave reviews for money, but if there is quality service, then I will definitely tell you about it! I am not ashamed to say compliments and do not take it for flattery. Flattery happens in relation to the authorities with a certain selfish goal, and this is always visible. I have a calm business relationship with my superiors, without any nuances. And with my subordinates, I try to adhere to the rule: "Praise in public, scold in private." This is a great rule that many people like.

In general, I try to see the good in people and talk about it publicly, but it is better to discuss mistakes in private (sometimes alone).
